Analysis

Analysis shows the results computed live during a session or replay: acoustic spectra, speaker-to-microphone correlation and transfer, the spectrogram, loopback timing, the optical pulse candidate, the aligned feature vector and reaction-time results.

Open Analysis during a monitor, recording or replay. When an RF survey or Synthesis is running, their live panels appear above the page heading. Two tabs select the view: Signals and Evidence & state.

Signals tab#

PlotShows
Microphone SpectrumWelch power spectral density in dB FS²/Hz (Hann window, linear detrending).
Speaker-to-Microphone correlationCross-correlation of the submitted stimulus and the microphone against lag in samples. The peak lag is the acoustic delay.
Transfer magnitude |H(f)|Microphone ÷ stimulus spectrum (uncalibrated).
Microphone spectrogramTime left to right, frequency bottom to top (0 to Nyquist).

Drag inside a plot to pan, scroll to zoom and double-click to reset.

Loopback timing calibration#

After a LoopbackCalibration run, this section shows:

  • A summary line with the mean output-to-input delay and its spread.
  • The measurement label.
  • One line per trial: trial N delay ms peak ambiguity note, or the reason a trial was rejected.

Before any calibration it reads “No calibration in this console session”. Recompute a saved session's calibration with --latency SESSION.

Evidence & state tab#

Optical pulse candidate#

When the camera ROI signal passes duration, periodicity and sampling checks, the candidate is shown in bpm with its spectral resolution and concentration quality. Otherwise the candidate is reported as withheld. In simulated sessions the values are synthetic.

Time-aligned feature vector#

Every available feature at the current time with its kind pill (for example microphone RMS, optical signal, telemetry). Modalities that are not present are omitted rather than shown as zero.

Reaction-time results#

After a ReactionTime session:

hits 9 misses 1 anticipations 0 false alarms 1 correct rejections 9
mean RT 287 ms median RT 279 ms SD 41 ms
trial 0 target Hit 301 ms
trial 1 catch CorrectRejection

Reaction time is measured from the first rendered stimulus frame. Window input is frame-quantized (about 16 ms at 60 Hz).

Microphone provenance#

With Show Technical Details enabled in Settings, the full provenance record of the microphone stream (source, units, classification, timing notes) is printed at the bottom.
