Presets#
Presets are on the Data sources card of the Recording page. A preset sets the Record switch of every available source; live-monitor switches are left unchanged.
| Preset | Records |
|---|---|
| Minimal | Microphone and Microphone RMS. |
| Physiology | Microphone, Microphone RMS, Camera Video, Optical Pulse Signal, Optical Pulse (Candidate). |
| Motion | Motion and touch sources, Mouse, Game Controller. |
| RF | All radio sources (Wi-Fi telemetry and RTL-SDR) except Bluetooth Signal Strength. |
| System Diagnostics | System, power and storage telemetry plus the screen backlight. |
| All Available Sources | Every available source except Bluetooth Signal Strength and HID Input Reports. |
Select All and Select None tick or clear every available source; Restore Defaults discards all per-source choices.
Recording profiles#
The Recording profiles card (Recording page) stores source selections, per-source settings and interface settings.
Create — type a name in Profile name and click Create Profile. The current settings are captured.
Load — choose a profile in the drop-down and click Load. Machine-specific choices (the serial port and HID device) are kept from your current setup.
Save — overwrites the selected profile with the current settings.
Duplicate, Rename (type the new name first) and Delete manage the list.
NOESIS creates six starter profiles on first run: Full Capture, Acoustic + Optical, RF Test, Motion Test, System Baseline, Minimal. Profiles are written to noesis-profiles.json as soon as they change.
Experiment data profiles#
The same panel appears on the Experiments page as Experiment data profiles. Profiles created there also store the protocol, visual-stimulus and haptic settings, are tagged [experiment], and restore the full experiment when loaded.
Build one experiment profile per study condition. Loading it restores the exact protocol, timing, seed, stimulus and source list, which keeps repeated sessions identical.
