Analysis panel

The Analysis panel computes statistics, correlations, trial-averaged responses and event detections over the selection or the whole session. Every result states its method and uncertainty.

The range line under the tabs states whether results use the selection or the whole session. Shift-drag on the timeline to select.

Range statistics#

  1. Make the streams you want visible as timeline tracks and optionally select a range.

  2. Click Compute for visible tracks.

  3. Each stream lists, per channel: count, and for continuous signals min, max, mean, median, SD, RMS and Δ (end − start); spectral peaks for audio; value counts for events and categorical data; and notes.

Correlation#

  1. Pick stream A and its channel, and stream B and its channel (numeric streams and event streams are both available).

  2. Set max lag (s) (default 2) and click Compute.

  3. Read the results: the common grid step and paired sample count, Pearson r, Spearman ρ, the lag estimate and its r (positive = B follows A), the combined timing uncertainty of both streams, and any warnings. The plot shows cross-correlation against lag.

Note

Correlation describes temporal association only.

Impulse response#

Averages a signal around repeated onsets with a 95 % confidence interval.

  1. Onsets — an event stream; Kind — optional event-kind filter.

  2. Signal and Channel — the numeric stream to average.

  3. Pre / post (s) — window around each onset (default 0.5 / 1.0).

  4. Click Align, average and compute 95% CI. The plot shows the mean (line) and CI (band) with the onset marked; the header lists trials, step and method.

Detectors#

Each detector lists its description, its default parameters and a Run button. Unavailable detectors state which recorded data they need. Detected events become a detected.<detector> stream with a DERIVED badge, appear in the Events panel and timeline, and feed Resonance, Shockwave and the Lens.
