Add a marker#
Press M (timeline focused) or click ◆ on the transport bar. A point annotation named Marker is added at the cursor.
Add an annotation#
Move the cursor to the moment, or select a range with Shift-drag.
Press Ctrl+M, choose Playback → Annotate at cursor…, or click + Note in the Events panel.
Choose the type: point, range, event, note or tag.
Type the text (for example “Hand clap”) and optional comma-separated tags.
Click OK. A range annotation uses the current selection; without one it starts at the cursor and lasts 1 s.
Find, jump to and delete annotations#
- Annotations appear on the Annotations (human) lane of the timeline — click one to jump to it.
- In the Events panel, filter with Human. Click a row to jump; click ✕ to delete.
- ↑ / ↓ step through all events including annotations.
Saved ranges#
Select a range on the timeline.
Open Analysis → Ranges, type a name and click Save selection.
Click a saved range to restore the selection and seek to its start; ✕ removes it.
Export annotations#
Use Export → Annotation file (JSON). Annotations are also included in JSON exports and analysis reports. See Export.
